Email, SMS & Communications Policy

These terms are subject to rights and protections that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under applicable Australian law.

Service communications

Averie may send account, security, invitation, RSVP, enquiry, booking-related, subscription, receipt and other service communications necessary to operate the platform.

Marketing communications

Averie may send marketing email and SMS where it has the consent or other lawful basis required by applicable law. Marketing communications will identify Averie and provide an easy way to unsubscribe.

Business contacts

Averie may market to businesses using publicly available contact information where the message and consent basis comply with the Spam Act 2003 and applicable requirements. Public availability is not treated as blanket consent.

SMS

Marketing SMS will include an appropriate opt-out mechanism. Transactional messages are kept distinct from promotional messages where required.

Consent records

Averie maintains records of marketing consent and withdrawal, including relevant channel, date and consent source where appropriate.

Unsubscribe

Marketing recipients may unsubscribe using the mechanism provided in the message. Averie will maintain suppression records to prevent future marketing to an unsubscribed address or number, except where a separate lawful service communication is permitted.
